Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 2026

Introduction

Pagebloom ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have over it. It applies to everyone who visits our website or creates a personalized story with us.

Information we collect

When you create a personalized story, we collect the details you provide so we can generate it:

  • Your child's first name
  • Their age range
  • Appearance details such as hair color, hair texture and length, and skin tone
  • Story preferences (favorite animal, theme, companion, dedication message)
  • Your email address, so we can deliver the story

We may also collect basic technical information automatically, such as your IP address, browser type, and pages visited, to help us run the site reliably.

How we use your information

We use the information you provide solely to generate your child's personalized story, deliver it to you, and support your account. We may also use your email to send transactional updates about your order. We do not use this information for any unrelated purposes.

We do not sell your data

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. Your child's details are used to create their story โ€” nothing more.

Cookies and tracking

With your consent, we use the Meta Pixel to measure how our advertising performs. This is a small script provided by Meta (Facebook) that helps us understand which campaigns lead to story creations. You can decline this tracking via the cookie banner shown on your first visit; if you decline, the Meta Pixel will not be loaded. Essential cookies required for the site to function are not subject to consent.

Data retention and deletion

We keep the data you provide for as long as your account is active and your stories are accessible to you. You can request deletion of your data at any time by emailing us at nicolae@pageblooms.com. We will action verified requests within 30 days.

Children's privacy (COPPA)

Pagebloom is built for parents and guardians, not for children directly. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children โ€” parents or guardians provide the details about their child on their behalf. We only ask for the information reasonably necessary to generate a story (such as a first name and basic appearance details) and do not require more than that. Parents may review, request changes to, or request deletion of their child's information at any time by contacting us at nicolae@pageblooms.com.

Your rights under UK GDPR

If you are based in the United Kingdom, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Request that we delete your personal data
  • Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent
  • Object to or restrict processing in certain circumstances
  • Receive your data in a portable, machine-readable format

We process your data on the basis of your consent (for cookies and marketing measurement) and our legitimate interest in providing and improving the service. To exercise any of these rights, email us at nicolae@pageblooms.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Third-party services

We rely on a small set of carefully chosen providers to run the service:

  • Vercel โ€” website hosting and content delivery
  • Stripe โ€” payment processing (when applicable)
  • Anthropic โ€” AI-powered story generation
  • Meta โ€” advertising measurement (only if you accept cookies)

Each of these providers has its own privacy practices and is contractually required to protect the data we share with them.

International data transfers

Some of our service providers are based in the United States. As a result, your information may be transferred to and processed in the US. We rely on appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) to ensure your data remains protected in line with UK GDPR.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time as the service evolves. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you by email.
